Chris Morris (Mogs)
Coach
Chris Morris (Mogs) has been with SCABC for 13 years. Co-founder of Cheshire Police boxing, Mogs has performed several positions for the club, including fundraiser, welfare officer, trustee and coach.
Mogs has been coaching since 2017 and is a level 2 England boxing qualified coach. A keen sportsman having played semi-professional football for over a decade, mogs has experience in MMA and Roman Greco wrestling, representing the force in the UK championships.
Mogs has also boxed for the force and his boxing style is as a front foot pressure fighter. Mogs favourite boxers are Carl Froch and Nathan Heaney.
Mogs eldest son is a current member of SCABC and captain of his university boxing team, training out of Liverpool’s Golden Gloves gym.
In 2016, Mogs, along with head coach Nathan, received a high sheriff award and, in the same year, was acknowledged by police sport UK for receiving an award for services to support within the community.
Mogs is currently a trustee of SCABC and assistant head coach.
